This week in the Sierra Foothills...
Today is a good day. I have an article about Memorial Day on the front page (above the fold) of the Placer Herald, another front-page article in this week’s Colfax Record and another story inside the Record. It has been a while since I have had so much published in a single day and I must say that I forgot how that felt. It’s good to be back writing news. It’s going to be a fun and busy summer.

I can feel the energy in those words, Mike. There are few feelings as viscerally pleasing to me as the ones I get when I open up the paper and see my byline. It's the greatest feeling in the world.

"A Day to Remember". That's very aptly named, Mike, since with 3 articles published in one day, it's a good day for you to remember as well. Congratulations on such a strong transition from school back to work.
